PTA Board Members & Auction Co-Chairs Needed for 2026-2027 School Year
We are a fun group who loves supporting DTS teachers, staff, and students. We have a few open positions for the 2026-2027 school year.
Open Board Positions
- Vice President (1 position open): Duties include supporting the DTS PTA President; attending monthly meetings; helping to plan for monthly meetings; helping to follow up on agenda items after meetings; supporting Board members as needed.
- Co-Treasurer (1 position open): Assist the treasurer with completing reimbursements, logging transactions, scanning receipts, preparing monthly financial report, and anything else needed by the treasurer. Assist the Treasurer with reimbursements, transaction recording, receipt management, completing yearly audit, and preparation of monthly financial reports to support overall financial recordkeeping.
- Classroom Volunteer Coordinator (CVC) Co-Chair (1 position open): Work with Co-Chair to support DTS teachers through Teacher Support Fund, Teacher Appreciation Week, and other activities throughout the school year.
Open Committee Positions
- Silent Auction Co-Chairs (2 volunteer needed): Plan a successful fundraising event for DTS PTA. This event is typically held in the Spring and includes a silent and live auction. At this event, teachers and parents come together to raise funding for two years’ worth of our PTA budget, which funds programming for DTS students, teachers, and families through things like Meet the Teacher Night, Back to School and End of Year picnics, Winter Dance, special projects, after school club scholarships, and DTS teacher support.
- Last year we raised $18,000! We need two people to help us this team; you will have the support of the Board and we’ll help you find other volunteers to round out your team, plus you’ll have all the materials from past auctions to help you along the way.
