About the Auction
The Downtown School Auction is our largest fundraiser, and it only happens every other year. This adults-only event includes live and silent auction items, teacher recognition, and a cash bar. Join the fun of bidding or come to connect with other DTS families and staff.
All proceeds from the Auction enhance the DTS student experience through academic enrichment, classroom materials, experiential learning experiences, and access to quality student and family programming sponsored by the PTA.
The Auction helps us fund special projects at DTS:
- For 2024-2025 school year, the Auction proceeds allowed us to purchase the following for DTS: Bridges Interventionist Program curriculum, an industrial roll laminator, an incubator, 4th grade books, a coat rack for our main entrance, and Project-Based Learning (PBL) training.
- Auction proceeds allowed us to purchase playground equipment and supplies
- Auction proceeds helped us purchase library furniture, and computer equipment, and assisted with training for every DTS teacher.
The Auction also helps us fund two year’s worth of:
- PTA-Sponsored events at DTS: Fifth Grade Recognition and 5th Grade Celebration, Meet the Teacher Nights, and the Winter Dances
- PTA-Sponsored events in the community including Skate Nights, End-of-Year Picnic, and Back-to-School Picnic
- Funding for classroom supplies with the help of the Teacher Support Fund.
- Yearly support for our nurse and counselor
- Teacher Appreciation Week gifts, retirement gifts, and professional development
- A free DTS t-shirt to every incoming student
- Funding towards the DTS garden
We need volunteers of all capacities to make the Auction a success! (No experience needed, of course!) This event will raise funding that will benefit DTS over the next two school years, which means your efforts will make a huge impact.
